Jody received a Master’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Oxford. Her MSc research focused on spatial models and approximation techniques for determining the required domain size for a population. This work was inspired by questions related to marine reserve design. This work followed a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Manitoba.
Jody is now a PhD student under Dr. Mark Lewis and Dr. Andrew Derocher with work focusing on modelling the predator-prey interactions between polar bear and seals, specifically in the context of climate change scenarios and reduced sea ice.
